Patient Letter – Frailty Support Workers (April 2016)

Dear sister,

I would like to congratulate you and your staff for the fantastic improvements that I have noticed in ward 1, since my last visit in 2014. The ward is much more pleasant, attributable in part to being painted and redecorated. The staff too seem friendlier and much more obliging, thus providing a warm and homely atmosphere. Betty, my wife, and indeed most of the other patients we spoke to, seemed happier and more content with this new set up. Special mention should be made to the Frailty Support Workers, namely Andrew, Sarah and Jason who have raised nursing care to a higher level. I hope that they will become role models for others to follow, not only in Prince Philip Hospital (PPH) but further afield. When Betty was transferred to (rehab) ward, she stated how much she missed the care and attention from all 3.

Good luck for the future, may your present excellent standard of nursing care continue.
